2025 Needs Data Guidance
The IHBG regulation at 24 CFR §1000.336(d) requires that Tribes and Tribally Designated Housing Entities (TDHEs) submit documentation supporting Census challenges by March 30th to be considered for the upcoming fiscal year allocation. However, because the Census data used for computing the FY 2025 IHBG formula allocation was not until September 29, 2023 a waiver of the Census Challenge deadline and an extension of the deadline to July 29, 2024, was provided to Tribes and TDHEs with a similar amount of time as they had in prior fiscal years to review their Census data.
